Alabama--Dallas County--Selma
This out door photo takes place in Alabama--Dallas County--Selma. Because it is sunny outside, the photo is very light. The lighting is 1 negative; nitrate. The photo is 8x10 inches or smaller. In this photo there are three different buildings and a car but no people. This tells me that the place is urban. I thought the distinguishing features are the designs of the building because the buildings don't look like they are in bad condition especially when it is the time of the Great Depression. The feature of this picture that first caught my eye was the car because it is the only vehicle in the scene. All the buildings shown in the picture are business buildings with enough space to be in service.
After seeing photos of African Americans living in poor houses, I'm glad I finally get to see a well built buildings that are actually strong. Judging by the picture, everything seems to be fine. But where are the people? Was it expensive to come here?
